Creative Practices to Motivate Students, Parents & Co-Workers

Morning Keynote, Ron Clark: Disney 2000 American Teacher of the Year, Ron Clark, will share his best practices and tricks of the trade for getting the most out of challenging and hard to reach students. Clark will use stories from his experiences with his students in Harlem, New York City and examples of award-winning projects they conducted to serve as examples of how to motivate and inspire disinterested students. Clark will also focus on how to create the ideal classroom and school environment where everyone is respected, appreciated and motivated to perform to the best of their ability. Join us for a morning that will be quite inspiring. Ron Clark will be available during lunch to meet with attendees and personally sign his books, which will be available for purchase during the conference.
Afternoon Keynote: Deb Delisle
ASCD Executive Director and former U.S. Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education, will be our afternoon speaker with a keynote on Creative Practices to Support the Whole Child. Attendees will hear from Delisle on how we, as educators, can go beyond high-stakes testing to meet the needs of allstudents. Join us for a day of inspiration and an opportunity to network with educators around our state.
